Conditions for Admission
Find out more about the admission criteria for the DAV’s education and training as well as the various possibilities to submit the necessary evidence.
Conditions for Admission: Mathematics
In accordance with the current examination regulations the prerequisite for admission to DAV education and training is evidence of a completed university education (a university ‘degree‘) in Germany as well as evidence of mathematics skills in line with the DAV’s schedule of learning objectives. Degrees from foreign universities will be checked for comparability by the admissions committee on application.
Evidence of mathematics skills can be provided using one of the following options.
If your university has a DAV correspondent, evidence of foundation skills in Mathematics can be obtained from this correspondent.
Check here → here whether your university has a DAV correspondent.
If your university has no DAV correspondent this evidence can be substituted with evidence that you have at least 90 ECTS credit points in mathematics exams.
Please list your mathematics exams here in your application for admission. The admissions committee will decide whether your mathematics examinations can be recognised as an alternative form of evidence.
If evidence cannot be provided using one of the two conditions listed above then an applicant shall sit an admissions examination in mathematics in accordance with the DAV’s catalogue of learning objectives.
The admissions examination must be taken before the examinations in Foundation and Specialist subjects that are part of the DAV’s education and training.
In order to prepare for the admissions examination in mathematics you may attend the preparatory course hosted by the University of Ulm in cooperation with the DAV. All information on this course can be found on the website of the University of Ulm.
