Anniversary conference of the DAV and DGVFM in 2028 focusing on trending topics
The annual conference of the DAV and DGVFM in 2028 promises an outstanding program with extended plenary sessions and top-class guests. Further details on the program will be announced in the near future.
Date
April 26 to 28, 2028
Venue
Estrel Congress Center Berlin
Focusing on trending topics
- Climate change and the insurability of risks
- The impact of medical progress
- Consumer protection & regulatory requirements
- The importance of collective insurance schemes
- Future trends in the profession (e.g. AI)
In the run-up to the anniversary year, discussions centre on these five key areas, which are of central importance to the future of the actuarial profession. An in-depth examination of these topics, which will shape the professional work in the coming years, is coordinated centrally. For examples, since 2025 discussions – particularly with partners from DAV's ‘communication ecosystem’ – take place regularly in the run-up to 2028 at DAV and DGVFM meetings in the ‘DAV intern’ format.
For example, the topic of ‘Future issues relating to the professional profile (e.g. AI)’ shaped the discussion both on stage and at the association’s stand during the 2025 autumn conference. The “importance of collective social security systems” was discussed at the 2026 annual conference, and the topic “impacts of medical progress” will feature at the 2026 autumn conference.
