German Actuarial Academy
The requirements for becoming a member of the DAV are set out in the association's own statutes. Among other things, the association's mission statement states that the DAV “ensures a high level of qualification of its members through its own demanding training and examination system and permanent, mandatory further training to a certain extent”.
The association's own Deutsche Aktuar-Akademie GmbH (DAA), founded in 2000, plays a central role in this. In this context, the DAA offers targeted training events to prepare for the DAV examinations. The DAA organizes practical training courses for members of the association.
The program of events includes, for example
- Classroom seminars and web sessions in the training formats of the training program
- Face-to-face seminars and web sessions in the training formats of continuing education
- Face-to-face, online and hybrid formats in the special formats of continuing education
EAA – European Actuarial Academy GmbH - The European knowledge centre for actuaries
On August 29, 2005, the EAA - European Actuarial Academy GmbH was founded by the actuarial associations of Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands in response to the increased demand for actuarial knowledge in Central and Eastern European countries.
In the meantime, the EAA has developed into the 'knowledge center for actuaries' throughout Europe and beyond. In more than 50 events each year with regularly over 1,000 participants, it provides further training on all actuarial topics both online and in person.
Since 2013, the EAA has also been offering targeted events for the international CERA additional qualification for actuaries in Enterprise Risk Management. In addition, since 2024, interested colleagues have been able to acquire the EAA Certificate in Actuarial Data Science.
