Actuaries primarily develop solutions for assessing and managing financial risks in the insurance and financial sectors as well as in pension schemes. We ensure the professional expertise of our members and thus the value of the title ‘Actuary DAV’ with our Code of Professional Conduct, high-quality training and continuing education requirements and offers.

Volunteering is the backbone of the DAV. Almost 850 members are actively involved at Board level, in the thirteen specialist and professional committees and in over 60 working groups. Added to this are the many members who are involved in the training and further education of actuaries, the promotion of young talent at universities, international work and numerous projects.
