Press kit for the digital press conference of the Institute of Pension Actuaries (IVS) on 09/16, 2024.

In a virtual press conference today, the IVS - Insitute of Pension Actuaries called for more leeway for the payout phase of occupational pensions, among other things. To this end, the current company pension law would have to be relaxed in order to allow higher benefits from the start of retirement and thus better meet the needs of pensioners.

In this context, Dr. Nicola Döring, Dr. Friedemann Lucius and Stefan Oecking spoke about

  • the de facto impossibility of organizing retirement provision as an individual savings process,
  • the actual possibilities of organizing lifelong old-age provision effectively and attractively,
  • the positive effects that the draft of BRSG II will have for pension funds,
  • the generational damage caused by voluntary contributions in pay-as-you-go pension systems and
  • the need to reform the HGB interest rate.
