ESG – More than just "Climate"
In recent years, the so-called ‘ESG’ criteria have established themselves as a key instrument for assessing the sustainability of companies. The abbreviation stands for environmental, social and governance. While environmental sustainability is known and accepted today, social sustainability and sustainable governance are currently receiving less public attention.
The German Actuarial Association (DAV) can and would like to contribute to making this principle applicable to S as well.
TheAnnual Meeting of the DAV and DGVFM 2024 began on 24 April 2024 with a panel discussion on the topic of ‘The S in ESG - what the insurance industry can contribute to social sustainability’.
