Annual Meetings of DAV and DGVFM

Every year at the end of April, the DAV/DGVFM Annual Meeting becomes a highlight for the actuarial community in Germany. In an inspiring atmosphere, the profession exchanges ideas and sets new impulses for the future of insurance and financial mathematics. Your access to the event platform and the annual meeting app

Shortly before the annual meeting, all registered participants will receive an e-mail with the latest information about your participation on site or online. You will also find the link to the event platform and all information about the meeting app ‘Actuarial Events’. If you have not received this email, please contact us at info@aktuar.de.

After receiving the e-mail with the access link, to register on the event page, please enter your first name, surname and the e-mail address to which you received this e-mail. The system will then send a verification code to exactly this e-mail address for the login. It is therefore important that you have access to this e-mail inbox on the day of the event. Please log in as a test. If you do not receive the verification code, please check your spam folder and add the domain ‘cvent-planner.com’ to your trusted e-mail senders. If you still do not receive a code or cannot access the event page, please contact us at info@aktuar.de.

In the days immediately before the meeting, a test session will be available in the Attendee Hub so that you can fully test your access. If your firewall settings prohibit the livestream, please contact your in-house IT department.

You are also welcome to download our event app. You can find it in the App- or Playstore under the name ‘Actuarial Events’. After successful installation, search for the event ‘DAV/DGVFM-Jahrestagung 2025’ in the app, download the event and register - after receiving the information about your participation - with your name and the e-mail address we have on file. A verification code will be sent to this e-mail address to complete your registration. It is therefore important that you are able to access this e-mail inbox on the day of the event. 

Please note that the previously used app ‘Cvent Events’ is no longer used by us and you can only access the event via ‘Actuarial Events’.

If you have already installed the app, please ensure that you are using the latest version of the app and update it in advance via your app or play store if necessary. If you are still registered for a previous conference, first exit the previous event: Menu at the bottom right, scroll all the way down, ‘Exit event’.

Program

The DAV and DGVFM Annual Meeting 2025 will once again offer a varied program for actuaries and other interested parties.

You can expect numerous topic-specific presentations in the AFIR/ERM and HEALTH (DAY 1), ASTIN, HOME LOAN, and LIFE (DAY 2), ADS and PENSION (DAY 3) specialist groups, as well as DAV Intern and the DAV General Assembly (including the election of the Chair of the Board) on the second day. All this guarantees exciting insights and an enriching professional exchange. As usual, the entire programme can also be followed online and participated in via interactive elements. The only exception in previous years has been the HOME LOAN group. This year, for the first time, it will also be accompanied digitally.

In addition, the two plenary sessions and panel discussions entitled ‘Growing old with dignity: How can this be financed?’ (Day 1, 28 April 2025) and ‘Of funds and risk pools: perspectives for a sustainable pension system’ (Day 3, 30 April 2025) are two highlights of the conference. The panel discussion on day 1 will focus on the rising costs of the healthcare and long-term care system in the face of demographic change and the role of pension provision and lifelong protection in this context. The panel on the third day will take a look at the three pillars of the German pension system and provide a context for a European comparison.

The event is rounded off by the get-together and the traditional festive evening, which this year takes place on the ship MS RheinMagie. Both evening events offer the opportunity to network in a relaxed atmosphere. More information on registration or room bookings can be found here.
