Germany's actuaries traditionally meet twice a year: for the large annual conference in April and the fall conference in November. The conferences support professional development, the exchange of expertise and networking among members. The focus is on new trends and future topics as well as the discussion of key issues in actuarial practice. Pension actuaries also come together annually for the IVS Forum.

How to become a sponsor

The events organized by the DAV, DGVFM, IVS, DAA, EAA and AMC offer interested corporate partners a wide range of opportunities to present their services and products to a broad specialist audience and to strengthen their own image in the actuarial community. 
The annual and fall conferences of the DAV and DGVFM as well as the IVS Forum are central to this. The EAA and AMC events also give you the opportunity to reach the international community.

Education and Training Formats

As part of its mission to ‘train and educate competent actuaries by means of its own , challenging education and training and testing and examining system’, the DAA runs around 100 training events per year, attracting some 2,600 participants, at various locations throughout Germany as well as virtual events. In doing so, the DAA’s primary aim is to prepare all DAV and IVS candidates competently and comprehensively for the six examinations on the Foundation courses and for the two examinations on the Specialist courses.

In addition to its seminars and courses preparing candidates for the examinations of the DAV and IVS, the DAA offers a comprehensive range of CPD training in the form of  top-class face-to-face training, web sessions and special events covering all areas of the actuarial profession.

• One particular format is the one-day ‘max. 99’ mini-congress, during which a maximum of 99 participants are provided with three rooms for parallel talks and discussions on various focus topics.
• Two further special formats of the DAA’s CPD offer are aimed at clearly defined target groups: the annual Academy Day for Appointed Actuaries is aimed at those executives holding this actuarial position while the annual CERA Day for Actuaries in Enterprise Risk Management provides a forum for the discussion of current issues and exchange of experience from the field of risk management.

EAA Training Formats

The aim of the EAA is to provide modern CPD for actuaries throughout Europe as well as for other target groups and thus create a forum for the exchange of technical expertise as well as the opportunity for networking at a European level. Content is delivered in English by the EAA’s internationally renowned speakers both online in the form of web sessions of varying length, in online conferences, such as the annual EAA e-Conference on Data Science & Data Ethics, or in face-to-face training in many different European cities.

For many years, the EAA has been a reliable and trusted partner when it comes to organising major actuarial events such as the European Congress of Actuaries (ECA) for the European umbrella organisation, the AAE.

Do you enjoy presenting the results of your work to colleagues and discussing important current issues?

Then apply using the online form below and

• a meaningful short summary of your presentation, as well as
• some information about your CV and
• your current employer

With this call for submissions, we would like to encourage you to present your work results to a larger audience of colleagues. A wide range of topics is conceivable, including cross-specialty submissions and scientific presentations with a practical application aspect. The selection will be made by the heads of the DAV and DGVFM specialist groups and communicated in advance in a timely manner.

In addition, there is always the possibility—independent of the conferences—to submit an electronic contribution to the streaming platform actuview.

As a thank you for your contribution, you will receive a day ticket for the day of your presentation or, at your choice, for the annual or autumn conference of the DAV that follows your presentation.
