In cooperation with our scientific partner organization DGVFM different conferences and lecture days are held throughout the year.
Included in the Annual Meeting of the Germany actuaries this scientific program brings together scholars and practitioners. Presentations in this program show the intertwined nature of scientific actuarial knowledge and its practical applications in the day-to-day business. The subject of actuarial science is hence promoted as a vital and worthwhile field of activity and research for actuaries of different sectors.
Following the Autumn Meeting of Germany’s actuaries this scientific conference is presented by the Expert group of the German Society of Insurance Science ("Fachkreis Versicherungsmathematik des Deutschen Vereins für Versicherungswissenschaften") and the DGVFM. It focusses on the current "Topic of the Year" appointed by the DGVFM. Speakers discuss different aspects of this topic and show various approaches or connected issues. At last the new "Topic of the Year" for the upcoming year is announced.
The Department of Actuarial Methods and Methods of Risk Management (FaRis) of the University of Applied Sciences Cologne hosts this one-day conference in cooperation with DAV. Twice a year lectures in risk management and other actuarial topics present the latest research findings and applications of scientific methods in the actuarial field.
The Goethe University Frankfurt (Department of Investment, Portfolio Management and Pension Provision) presents this annual event in cooperation with the German Investment Funds Association (BVI). Students, future investment fund managers and members of the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) are invited to learn about and discuss investment topics in research and business.
Once a year the DGVFM provides this day of professional training for actuaries and other interested persons. There are introductions to the complex and on-going topics of actuarial science as well as questions of the daily business. In addition each event focusses on a current matter of the profession.
